BIO

Born and raised in Israel to an American & South African family, Idan has always had a passion for music and art. Starting his professional career in music as a teenager, Idan played viola and was appointed principal violist of the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at 17 years old. Later, he embarked on a journey to find his own voice and started to write songs and perform with his first project the 'Idan Abrahamson Band'. After studying Jazz and collaborating with various R&B projects in Israel and Europe, Idan chose to waive a scholarship from a Jazz School in New York in order to start something completely different.

In early 2018 Idan went to Nairobi to start the first production of NYADO - an international collective of artists and social entrepreneurs which he co-founded with his long time friend Edoardo Segato. NYADO creates 'music-films' and campaigns to promote social and environmental action and their work has received recognition and support by the UN, Nobel peace laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus, the Nexus summit and others.

Since then, Idan has been performing, speaking and producing projects internationally. NYADO's first film which was released in February 2020 titled "Mission to Earth" encompasses NYADO's aim to generate measurable positive actions using popular media as a bridge.

Currently, Idan resides in Tel Aviv and is producing a number of musical projects including another symphonic piece, a new album and a few other surpirses.
